A Road to Justice
A devastating motorcycle accident caused by a reckless driver left a lifelong Harley rider with debilitating injuries. Brad needed to show the freedom his client enjoyed before the accident, and the intense daily suffering he's experienced since that terrible day.
Unbiased Footage
"I think the clips that scared them the most was when Mitchell and Catie effectively used the body cam footage from the investigating officer who went to the ICU room where my client was receiving triage treatment. The doctors were getting him ready for admission to the hospital, and my client kept asking, "Were there any kids involved?" There weren't any kids, and that was important for two reasons. Number one: My client had some rough spots in his life, but he has a big heart. When you're in the ICU and you've suffered that much trauma, that's the real person coming out. You can't act. It's almost like laughing gas or a truth serum. So that moment was very impactful. My client was more concerned about whether kids were hurt than he was about his own well-being. That was huge."
Your Case in Documentary Form
“Insurance companies have to justify why they need to pay millions of dollars to a plaintiff, and they’ll look at this and see how much his future medicals are going to be, see how strong these witnesses are, and see how much the jury's going to like this injured person. Especially when it's a company that sends people out into the community to generate revenue for the company, and they're not doing all they can to protect the community. That scares people. That scares jurors. And the insurance companies know that when they see the video.”
"Look to the Helpers"
"Every plaintiff and trial lawyer will tell you that your best damage witnesses are not always your clients. Having your client get on the stand and say how badly they're hurt, how tough life is for them now - it's important, but it's not as persuasive as when you have a “disinterested” third party say that for them. My client’s girlfriend was just so good and his friend speaking about his passion for bikes and how this has changed his life.
Case Outcome
With the help of Mitchell and Catie’s mediation film, the case settled before having to go to trial, resulting in a tremendous damages payout that far exceeded Brad’s expectations.
